Links I Love

Happy Friday y’all!

I just wanted to share a sampling of some of the cool stuff I’ve come across this week.

Starbucks reveals $1 reusable cup to curb trash from USA Today
I once saw a giant sculpture made out of used Starbucks cups. Aside from their cups being an interesting medium for art, I’m pretty sure reusable cups are a better option.

Myth: If a weight loss product is sold or promoted on TV, it’s safe for use. from Mizzou Nutrition Mythbusters
Busted!

Salmon Breakfast Quesadillas from the Lean Green Bean
They contain black beans in addition to salmon, quinoa, and cheese – I don’t think I need to taste them to know they’re delicious…but just in case…

Salmon Mousse from Simply Recipes
I want to try this, but I think I could get away with trading out the mayo for fat-free greek yogurt (I find this usually works) and also going with low-fat or fat-free cream cheese. I’m sorry, I just love salmon.

An Evolutionary Whodunit: How Did Humans Develop Lactose Tolerance? from NPR
Super interesting, but be warned, stear clear of the comments – Nothing like an article about lactose intolerance to cause a comment war.

Have a super weekend!

Diana
